Ross MacFarlane

Ross MacFarlane founded and led MacFarlane Doyle Associates from it’s creation in 2009, to his death in December 2022. Ross had been making waves in the industry, in multiple capacities, for 40 years. After training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School he worked as an actor and director in British Theatre, including the RSC, National Theatre and West End. He made many television and film appearances before becoming teaching and leading courses in some of the UK’s most respected drama schools, inspiring and mentoring some of the brightest talents in the industry today. Ross continued to write, direct and represent clients right up until his passing, and his work is performed in places as far apart as Canada and Norway.

MacFarlane Doyle continues to run in Ross’s memory; his values and spirit remain at the core of what we do.

Alys Drew

Alys Drew initially joined MacFarlane Doyle as a client in 2016, after graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) in Acting from LIPA. In 2018 she began assisting Ross in representing clients; through his mentorship over some years, she took on more responsibility within the team and became an agent in her own right.

As an actor, Alys’s work has taken her around the world, gracing international stages and screens. She has also worked in some of the most renowned theatre spaces in the UK, such as Bush Theatre, The Coronet and Battersea Arts Centre. Alys’s experience and acting background gives her a unique perspective when representing clients, and an approach led by empathy and determination.

In December 2022, Alys took over MacFarlane Doyle Associates as lead agent and director.
